Nurses Memorial Centre - Applications

Nurses Memorial Centre Applications

Applications for membership, annual education grants, and other events, are welcomed from registered nurses and midwives.

The Nurses Memorial Centre was formally established in 1951, following a public appeal initiated by Victorian nurses who had returned from the Second World War, as a living memorial to their colleagues who had died.

As a living memorial, a major aim of the Centre is the advancement of the health of the community through the provision of post registration/post graduate education grants to Victorian nurses and midwives with the anticipation that the additional skills gained will benefit the broader health and well being of the community.

Nurses Memorial Centre education grants are open to registered nurses and midwives in Victoria. New applications for 2008 are not presently being accepted.
